Life is a series of choices. What to read, what to wear, eat and say. Where to go and with whom to associate. How to conduct oneself and what to believe in. What is a priority. Whether to give or to receive.
Whether we realize it or not, our choices shape and define us, and influence those around us. They in turn, influence others.
And similarly, we are influenced by the choices that other people make, some of whom we know, many of whom we don’t.
“Every choice you make has an end result.” Zig Ziglar
Choose carefully. It’s how you will be remembered.
I can never get staircase photos the way I want. Well done Ed. And I love the words you put with it. No truer words have ever been spoken. Poignant and profound. I hope my choices in life are as good as this photo.
Thanks Rodney. I took this two years ago in a converted mill in Dover NH with my Nikon D90 and edited it with Topaz BW Effects and Lightroom. In truth, the original, color version was bright and colorful but not too interesting. Glad you liked it. Ed.
Teriffic shot. The shadows and light on the stairs is striking. And, as usual, your text is spot-on. Years ago, I enjoyed hearing Zig Ziglar speak in person; it was quite impressive. Good to be reminded, we ALWAYS have a choice, even if the choice is to ‘do nothing’. Thank you.
Thanks Thelma. It’s all about the choices. Ed.
Well said. Wise choices are not that easy to make. It is like finding out that common sense is not that common.
So true, in fact, at times, it seems like a rare commodity. Thanks Rebecca. Ed
Oh this is rich…every step has it’s story.
That could have been the caption Billie. Thank you. Ed
Wonderfully atmospheric black and white image, Ed. And I love the quote – so very true. Bless you.
Thanks Lizzie, much appreciated. Ed
Superb black and white capture, Ed. Great quote too, thanks!
Thanks Howard! Best, Ed
