I’m happy to announce that several of my images will be displayed at The Coffee Perch (a fine local coffee and sandwich shop) during the month of April. I’ve decided to donate 100% of the proceeds to an outstanding organization called DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended). For more information, see here. That means that all proceeds (above and beyond printing, fulfillment and shipping related costs…which are pretty reasonable) will go directly to DOVE.

Thank you!
Rey,
Congrats! I see you are a believer in the “you get more when you give it away” philosophy. Welcome to the club!
I’ve decided to donate a city image to the George Street Playhouse here in New Brunswick and several images to the Carrolls Museum in Baltimore (I will have an upcoming blog about the Phoenix Shot Tower in Baltimore with a number of images taken inside and atop the tower).
I’m sure we would all LOVE to make a ton of money from our images….but the mere fact that people think highly enough of our images to hang them up for display is extremely gratifying. As far as I’m concerned, your images deserve to be on display.
Again, congratulations…
Frank V.
Thanks, Frank.
And in the end, the love you take… is equal to the love you make.
Quick… name that quote.
I completely agree with you. If we can do some good with our work and gain the feeling of accomplishment at the same time, then it’s win-win.

What a worthy cause Rey. And worthy photography! I hope the people that DOVE help can come to realize how worthy THEY are too! Bravo to you and The Coffee Perch for helping.
Thank you, Rodney !
Absolutely breathtaking photograph. Stunning composition and colors. Where is this place?
Congrats on your next showing, and for donating the proceeds to a worthy cause. Kudos Rey.
Thanks, Michael. This is off the famous Pacific Coast Highway in California. I was on it several years back, driving through impossibly heavy fog and knew that the breathtaking scenery, for which that area is known, was just beyond my vision. After some time, as the sky began to clear, we came to a spot with several cars parked along the sign of the road. Usually, that tells you something. So, we pulled over, hiked a short path through the woods and through a tunnel (more like a huge sewage pipe) to an opening. We arrived just as the sky opened up. Heaven.

Perseverence and being opportunistic often land us the best photographs. Your drive along the coast reminded me of the time we drove the same road and stopped at a picturesque location. As my wife and I stared at the ocean, sky and haystack rocks, we were suddenly aroused by moving rocks…seals that were sleeping atop these stones!
Don’t you love it when opportunity knocks? And when rocks move?
Rey
The love you take is equal to the love you make… I believe is a Paul McCartney quote in a Beatles song?!
Bingo!
It is one of my favorites. This is a nice way to give back to the community. I donate 2-3 large canvas prints a year to fund raisers and it always feels good to be able to help with something people find enjoyable to look at.
Mark – totally agree…
Thanks,
Rey
Congrats – Breathtaking Capture! Domestic Violence causes can certainly use the donation:) Happy Monday
