“I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.” Vincent Van Gogh
I have to agree with Vincent.
Sony NEX 6, using the Handheld Twilight mode, which takes six photos in a fraction of a second, and then combines the data from the 6 different images to create one single image. Edited in Lightroom 4.
quite impressive performance. did you have a lot of work to do in lightroom?
Thanks “Lost”, no actually just some cropping on the first and a little sharpening in both. The Handheld Twilight mode works very well. Ed
wow. that’s a really cool feature then. it looks really rich colourwise and no noise as far as i can tell.
thanks for the explanation.
I also agree with Vincent. Apropos Vincent:
Thank you Cardinal. I haven’t listened to that song in years. Coupled with his art, it’s very powerful. I recommend others take a look at your link as well. Ed
It’s great music and the lyrics fits fantastically to Vincent’s paintings. I think that the lyrics are exceptional.
The second photo is one of my all time favs by you Ed! Was it rain or wet snow falling? Whatever it was, the drops/flakes eve seemed to have color! And why do I love 2 Guys… because not only do we get great photography, but great art in all forms. Starry Starry Night is my all time favorite song by Don Mclean! Thanks for sharing the video Cardinal.
Good eye Rodney – yes it was snowing at the time and the 2nd pic caught that. Without the precip, the sidewalks would have been dry and we wouldn’t have had the reflections and the colors. So you could say it all came together because of the weather. Thanks Rodney. Ed
Even night has lights and warmth…
