Ode to a pumpkin

IMG_1049.JPG

Oh spherical friend,
with your curley-que mop,
Pleasant and chubby,
from bottom to top.

You harbinge the fall,
and the holiday hearth.
A time for rejoicing,
warm wishes, and mirth.

But your time with us passes,
not long once begun.
You’re skin softens gently,
you’re colors undone.

Until seasons cycle,
and return we to rest,
We await your return,
and all that is best.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our 2 Guys friends and your families.

Spectacular photo of such a “simple” subject… yet it is not simple at all! Great poem too Ed! Did you write it? If so, you have a talent :0). Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Enjoy some Pumpkin Pie today!!
