What’s your sense of it?

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.  Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.  Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.  And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” — Steve Jobs

Is that all there is, Steve?  Your own heart… your own intuition?  Your own inner voice?

In her stirring eulogy of her brother, Mona Simpson stated that Steve Jobs looked at his wife and children and then beyond them and uttered: “Oh wow.  Oh wow.  Oh wow.”  And those were his final words…

Relevant?  Irrelevant?  Coincidence?  Revelation?  Seeing The Light?  A dopamine rush brought on by mere biochemistry?

Hmmmm. This is very familiar. We recently had a death in the family, our 94 year old grandmother. A day before she died, semi-conscious, she reached out saying that she saw people but then they were fading away. Then she said there was bright light. We asked if it was a good light or a bad light. She said, “good light.” Whatever it is, it certainly follows lots of similar experiences.
