“The Thirsty…” – Revisited

This photo, by Joey Spadoni, was posted last week.  Here, as presented then, is that version:

As Joey is working on his post-processing skills, most often inside of Apple’s Aperture or one of Nik Software’s excellent suite of programs, he has been experimenting with certain looks, styles.  The above shot is clearly a cooler toned, more icy, vision.  In truth, it may be closer to the reality of that frosty scene.

Posting this today to get some feedback for Joey on which works best.  He’d love to hear your thoughts.

By the way, feel free to wish him a happy birthday.  Today’s the day!

Happy Birthday Joey! I personally like your first post better. I feel the cropped version and icy coolness takes away from the whole scene. Even though the focus is on the waterfalls, I feel the “swampy” look behind the waterfalls and the swirling colors in the lower right hand corner makes the scene feel magical. I would like to see the first version in cooler tones, but uncropped. Just my humble opinion

Have a wonderful birthday Joey! God bless!
