A treasure hunt across the centuries

WinSmith Mill Markets, norwood, MA, antiques, treasures, trash, vintage, uniqueOn the site of a leather tannery that got it’s start in the same year as the United States of America, (1776), there now operates The WinSmith Mill Market, a sprawling complex of 13 independent antique shops, selling everything from furniture to china, from dolls to garden tools, and it’s located in Norwood, Massachusetts, about 30 minutes southwest of Boston.

My wife recently discovered this mecca of the old and unique and brought me in so I could see for myself what proved to be a never-ending trove of the truly valuable and the seemingly valueless.

Of course, I brought my camera.

Each shop is laid out in it’s own shopkeeper’s style, sometimes with a humorous touch, like this sign, or creatively, or adventurously, to be enjoyed as you amble about.

You will find rustic elegance…

  1. What an eclectic bunch of stuff ! Another sign which would have fit right in with the others would have been one that reads, “No Stuff “. Ha! Nice photos, and very interesting, too.

Love the multicolored chair shot. The place is certainly a target rich environment. Nice bunch of shots.
