  3. Another place I need to get to. I spend a lot of time in the Anza Borrego Desert area in the far eastern end of San Diego County, but I’ve never made it up to Death Valley. I think that a lot of people think the desert is stark and empty, but when you get close you realize that there really is a lot there.
