Taken at the height of the blizzard last Friday night, you can see in this photo a small garden of perennials around the base of the post, stairs and the walkway to the front door, a driveway, sidewalk and of course, the street.
I guess it’s time to take down the Christmas wreath.

What a cool photo Ed, no pun intended. It reminds me of the song “One Prairie Outpost” by Carbon Leaf. Even though this is not in a prairie, since it is in black and white, it has that feel to me. Could be in a desert. Could be on Mars for all we know. Love the shadow too. And yeah, it is time to take the wreath down….. whenever you can reach it :0).
Felt like Mars! Thanks Rodney, I’ll have to look up that song. Ed
“Moonscape With Light Post” would be a good title also. That’s a lot of snow covering a lot of stuff. The B&W makes it perfect.
Thanks Sherry. And you’re right, that would have been a better title. More snow coming this weekend too. Ugh.
Ed
It looks like a photo from another world. Amazing.
I love the different tones that each level of snow bank creates and I love the wreath, for some reason it created such a feeling of sadness to this picture…something left behind. nice work Ed.
I know what you mean Billie, it is kind of somber, made even more so by the black and white. Thanks, Ed
Very cool shot! Somehow this reminds me of Star Wars. May the force be with you.
Thanks Jonne. In fact, it was so cold, I had to sacrifice my Tonton to keep warm. Very sad. ;-). Ed
