My 2013 Wish List

One third of new year’s resolutions are broken by the end of January, according to the New York Times. So resolutions, these are not. But these are my hopes and wishes for the new year, in no particular order.

  1. I hope to lose the same 20 pounds I’ve lost 3 times before, but keep them off for more than a week.
  2. I wish that congress would put their constituents first and their personal agendas last, and finally address the “fiscal cliff” (US).
  3. I hope to never hear “fiscal cliff” again.
  4. I want to make better photographs using only available light.
  5. I hope and pray that the innocent lives lost to gun violence will not have been lost in vain.
  6. I plan to “always be in a book”.
  7. I (we) plan to do some new and exciting things on the blog… stay tuned.
  8. I intend to visit more museums and attend more theater. I live just outside of Boston after all.
  9. I hope to really clean the garage, really.
  10. And I wish only good things for family, friends and those in need.

That’s what I’m wishing for this year.

What about you? What’s on your wish list?

i am really looking forward to be a bit serious for my life .. so might start with quitting smoking.

  2. It’s nice to hear that. 🙂

And also Ed, much on your list are things that DO make the world “more habitable and humane”. 🙂

One of my goals is to improve my photography skills.

  5. Ed Shields says:

Clean the garage? That’s pretty heavy. For me the inflow of “stuff” always seems to be greater than the outflow. Please let me know if you fine the secret.

You have inspired me to pen my resolutions!! The first one is to stop fighting with my scale – I always lose. The other is to figure out how to organize my photos. I confess – I am a photo hoarder….
