It’s over!

Presidential Ballot

Chances are that you, our readers, including our international friends, are aware that the United States’ presidential election has come to a close.  (At least it should be.  I’m writing this post, as I always do, a few days in advance, so hopefully by the time you read this, a winner will be declared.)

Debate, presidential, Romney, Obama, TV

It’s been two long years of campaigning by what started as a huge field, and eventually narrowed to two men.  Two men who I believe are well intentioned, but with very different approaches to solving our nation’s ills.  Because many are struggling with a weak economy, foreclosed homes, joblessness and natural disasters; our presidential candidates have had much about which to opine.  And we’ve never been more divided.

From attacks to hyperbole, via TV, print media, mailings, internet, robo-calls, interviews, debates and more, we’ve been inundated to the point of saturation.

I’ve had it, and Abbie has too…

So let’s hope the best man won, that he’ll have the courage to take on the challenges that lie ahead, with the support of everyone, regardless of political affiliation, race, or gender.

It’s time to get back to “one nation, under God, indivisible…”

  1. Well said. I, too, hope Congress can put aside their petty differences and actually DO SOMETHING this year.

Well said! As Ben Franklin once said, “if we don’t hang together, we shall surely hang separately.” This message is for the global community. Our very survival depends upon it…

Agree, Ed…It’s time to get back to “one nation, under God, indivisible…”
