This is the most colorful season in New England, the time of year when shorter days signal trees to stop making food and live off what they’ve stored. The green chlorophyll fades from the leaves and yellows, oranges and reds begin to appear. And we know that change is upon us.
“Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become.” Reinhold Niebuhr
Gorgeous image, Ed… wonderful framing & composition & a truly beautiful scene, so well done!
Someday, one day I will be in New England in Fall. Thank you for sharing this beautiful image with us!
Ah, you are making me miss NH Ed!! Thanks!
Thanks all, this was taken a few years ago, just a few miles from home, southwest of Boston. While this looks like an island in the pond, it’s actually the tip of a peninsula that juts into the water. One of my favorite photo spots.
