Black and white are the colors of photography. To me they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is forever subjected. Robert Frank
This flight was headed into Boston’s Logan Airport, and against the cloudy white sky, wasn’t very appealing. But when I reversed the colors and increased the contrast, I had an image that conveyed darkness and opportunity at the same time. This quote seemed appropriate.
Powerful image! Very creative to think tonprocess this shot like that.
Thanks Hillary. Sometimes experimentation yields surprising results! Ed
Very creative, Ed, nice work!
Thank you kindly Howard.
At first I thought it was an IR camera shot, but no. How interesting.
I thought the same thing when I was done with it Prentis. I’ve never shot with an IR camera but have played with IR filters. Glad you liked it.
Fantastic! what a great idea:)
Thanks Billie Jean! Ed
Great photo Ed. Instantly I loved this photo, and wasnt even sure why. After studying it a bit, it is definitely the black/white and contrast, uniqueness of it that appeals to me. And a bit spooky, but artistic and a few other adjectives. Well done, for what I presume you thought was maybe an “ordinary” photo at first. Good work.
Thanks Rodney. Yes, it was pretty flat to begin with.
