Rodney Daly, a friend of and frequent contributor to 2 Guys Photo, sent us this beautiful photo taken while in Phoenix recently. Captured handheld with a Nikon D3000 dslr, at f/5.3, 1/100s, ISO 400, EV-1, which really popped the colors.
Rodney tells us it was 5:30 in the AM and he was dropping off his rental car before flying out, and it was the only shot taken while in Phoenix. We’re glad this is the one you got Rodney, and a good reminder why we should always have a camera with us.
And now a request: Rodney is heading north to Alaska for a period of time. He’s hoping to photograph the Northern Lights and is looking for some advice. Does anyone have any experience shooting the Lights or know of any good resources? Please comment below, and thanks for sharing with 2GP.
