It’s one of the most highly photographed spots in the world, Motif #1 in Rockport, Massachusetts. And for the life of me, I just couldn’t figure out a creative way of capturing this scene in some innovative haven’t-seen-it-a-thousand-times-before manner.
I don’t tend to highly stylize my images, but this endeavor called for some torture test post processing, or so I reasoned. In this case, you see three images blended in HDR Efex Pro and then further massaged in Color Efex Pro. You’re looking at HDR, contrast and sharpening adjusted, vignetted and saturation bombarded pixels.
Go ahead, have at it…
I’ve never heard of it or seen a photo of it, but I like what you did.
Nice!
I love it, too. 🙂
Mark, Rob, Bob –
Thanks for the comments/feedback.
All in all, I wish I hadn’t captured the fisherman in the compromising position on the pier; otherwise, I’m happy with the capture and treatment.
Thank you,
Rey
And here I thought that was one of the things you had added in … a spot of humor!
