Sometimes you find the most interesting things in the least expected places. We were walking the boardwalk at the beach, and were surrounded by sea and sand, and seagulls, when I happened to look at the top of the bath house that was in our path. The shapes of the pipes and the cool colors combined with a sixties feel, made me stop and shoot. I wrestled with the cropping a bit, alternating between this version, where I felt the chimney and blue trim on the left balanced the pipes, versus another which centered on the pipes only. I’m still wrestling with that though…
Added some saturation boost and that was it.
Taken with a Nikon D90 dslr at f/10, 1/320s, 70mm focal length on my 18-200 zoom.
I like it….post the other crop….bet it works too!
Very simple but effective! Great eye, Ed, neat shot!
Thanks Howard and Rob. I’ll post the alternative crop soon. (Currently “on the road”). Ed
