This is a personal fave. Not because of the subject (there really is none), not because the light is special (though the glow off the road is nice), and not because there’s any kind of unique technique on display (unless you call jumping out of the car and lying down on a highway unique). I think I like this because it reminds me of that particular day, when I could drive and drive, listening to favorites off the iPod and considering that there was only open road between me and my destination.

Beautiful shot! Love the sensation of freedom…. one of my favourite things to do, just drive! I wonder if, perhaps, we were made to be doing nothing….??

I just spent a week and half away, without driving, and it was clear to me when I got home last night that one of the things I missed most was driving. I really have to get that convertible someday…
