Little Italy. They saw my camera and when I pointed it in their direction with a friendly, “hey, would you mind?” glance and gesture, they jumped to life.
As I reviewed the photo later that evening, I saw that there were a few visual cues to suggest that this was, in fact, not 1944. The eyeglasses style. The Corona bottles. The attire of the restaurant guests in the background. Still though… I thought I’d drain most of the color to help with the illusion.
Nikon D200, ISO 320, f4, 1/60 second. Topaz B&W Effects is the culprit.
