This was taken in Yellowstone National Park in 2002. I was using my first digital camera (a Canon G2) at f4 and 1/640 second. I can only surmise that the metadata is completely kerflooey as the ISO is listed in my JPEG processor as 3. Yes, 3.
I added a pinch of contrast and selective sharpening in Apple Aperture.
I have an 11×14 print of this photo hanging in my house and it’s a reminder of this wonderful trip – our first exposure to the beauty and hardly subtle power of the U.S. National Parks. The details in the print are exquisite… and not bad for a 4 megapixel camera.

What a fantastic shot! Works so well as a vertical following the river.
WOW, this is absolutely perfect.
beautiful!!
Thanks all for the comments. This is a much photographed spot and my composition is hardly original. Nevertheless, there’s a balance and flow to it that makes me glad to have been standing in that spot on a sunny day.
If you’ve not been, consider this to be my hearty recommendation!
