Taken on Cape Cod just a few weeks ago. The sky was already changing, given the approach of Hurricane Irene. Still, I decided to blend three shots taken with a Nikon D5100 in Nik’s HDR Efex Pro, thus intensifying the look.
ISO of 250, f14 and then three varying shutter speeds. Taken with the versatile though mildly ho hum Nikon 18-105VR kit lens at the widest setting.
Finally, added a bit of selective sharpening in the foreground.

Hey Rey,
I LOVE this photo… I like how the boardwalk takes you “into” the picture! And then there is a mystery at the end of the boardwalk with ominous, yet inviting clouds. Very impressive
Thank you, Rodney!
Masterly! I really like the treatment.
Thanks, John…
Cool shot Rey. Did you experiment with any B&W treatments? Seems like it would lend itself nicely to some creative filters. Ed
Ed – good idea. I did not think about B&W though your question has me pondering…
I may give it a whirl.

Love this image, Rey. There is all good going on here – the dramatic sky, the perspective/lines of the boardwalk leading the ocean, the color. Great stuff!
Thanks, Kara.
Very beautiful Rey. Fantastic depth and wonderful mood.
