Daily Photo Phix: Working for a Living

"Street Performer"

There are days when I feel as though I have a tough job…

… but watching this street performer for a captivating 15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon in the Boston Public Garden convinces me otherwise.  There’s got to be 20 pounds of gadgetry adorning him, all of which are used to make music.  It’s not music you’d ever download from the iTunes store, but it’s music nonetheless.  Not bad given that very few of the gadgets he’s wearing are actually intended to be musical instruments.

Taken with a Fujifilm X100 at 1/60 second, f11, and ISO of 320.  Added a mild bit of contrast boost and a smidge of sharpening in Apple Aperture 3.

It was actually fairly hilarious. He worked his gadget burdened tail off for 15 minutes straight and, I estimate, made about $10 from the crowd. After a five minute rest, he was right back at it for the next group.
