Today, one million of my closest friends and I descended upon downtown Boston to say hello to members of the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins. The photo above is of series MVP, Tim Thomas.
Fans wearing black and gold, waving signs and banners indicating our admiration for the immense accomplishment of this team, lined streets and watched as 18 modified duck boats passed by carrying members of the team and other VIPs.
More photos follow…
Lumbering winger, Milan Lucic.
Assistant Captain, Patrice Bergeron.
Big man and Captain, Zdeno Chara.
I couldn’t resist the opportunity to snap an HDR while I was waiting for the parade to begin.
Playoff hero (three game winning goals) but victim of a devastating open ice late hit in game 3 of the Finals, Nathan Horton.
Fan favorite, Brad Marchand (he personally outscored the entire Vancouver team in the final five games of the series).
Finally, I was fascinated by the multitude of scenes playing out behind the windows in the buildings above Boylston Street.

I enjoyed the shots, hockey fan or not:-) I think you did a great job capturing the pride and joy associated with the win for both spectators and players.
Thanks, Maryann….
